Gender - English Paradise - English Grammar


There four kinds of genders in English.
  1. Masculine gender.
  2. Feminine gender. 
  3. Neuter gender. 
  4. Common gender.
  1. Masculine gender: A noun that denotes male is called masculine gender. Ex: boy, father, bull, cock, lion, etc.
  2. Feminine gender: A noun that denotes female is called feminine gender. Ex: girl, mother, cow, hen, lioness, etc.
  3. Neuter gender: A noun that denotes lifeless things which are neither male nor female is called neuter gender. Ex: ball, book, pen, table, etc.
  4. Common gender: A noun that denotes the name common to both male and female is called common gender.
