GENDERS
There four kinds of genders in English.
- Masculine gender.
- Feminine gender.
- Neuter gender.
- Common gender.
- Masculine gender: A noun that denotes male is called masculine gender. Ex: boy, father, bull, cock, lion, etc.
- Feminine gender: A noun that denotes female is called feminine gender. Ex: girl, mother, cow, hen, lioness, etc.
- Neuter gender: A noun that denotes lifeless things which are neither male nor female is called neuter gender. Ex: ball, book, pen, table, etc.
- Common gender: A noun that denotes the name common to both male and female is called common gender.
