Tenali Rama
One day Tenali Rama was looking at the wall of a palace. He did not like it he took a brush and painted over it. The king saw this. He was anger.
“You have spoilt the picture, Tenali Rama. Get out of here. Don’t show me your face for a week.”
The next morning the king was in his court. A strange man came in. He had a mud pot covering his face.
“ Who are you ?” the king asked.
“ I am Tenali Rama, O king.”
“ Take away that black pot.”
“ I am only obeying your orders, O king. I can’t show my face to you for a week.”
The king remember his words and laughed at Tenali Rama’s joke. The whole court. Laughed. Tenali Rama took off the pot, bowed to the king and went to his seat.
